Course Overview

This short course is intended to develop and enhance the participants ‘competencies required to troubleshoot and install the electrical wiring circuits for industrial machine control panels. The training program covers essential skills, including the installation and wiring of industrial control panels, distribution boards, installation and connection of various types of motors and devices, installation of safety components and devices, cable routing and termination, functions and applications of industrial control components and devices (relays, contactors, VFDs, controllers, PLCs, HMIs, etc.), and interpretation of electrical drawings for the purpose of installation and troubleshooting.

  • Interpret electrical drawings for the installation and troubleshooting of industrial control circuits.
  • Perform wire termination, cable dressing, and tagging to ensure proper identification and routing of wires.
  • Apply core electrical concepts to install various industrial components and devices for controlling industrial processes.
  • Use process controllers to manage industrial operations effectively.
  • Understand the applications of different types of sensors, AC/DC machines, solenoid control valves, industrial controllers, PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
